Core Objective

To enhance the all-round development of students in terms of their global outlook, cultural and social appreciation and language skills.

Parties Involved

  • Student: Initiates application procedure and applies for visa.
  • International Student Exchange Coordinator (ISEC): Assists in the logistics of the exchange procedure both internally and externally, and provides a counselling service.
  • International Affairs Office (IAO): Offers pre-departure orientation programmes, links up with possible sources of funding, advises on visa applications and produces a handbook for outbound students.   • Chinse Mainland Affairs Office (CMAO): Provides pre-departure orientation programmes, links up with possible sources of funding, advises on visa applications and produces a handbook for outbound students. Exchange Duration

The normal exchange period is one semester. Full-time undergraduate students should pursue their exchange experience during the third year of their degree programmes.

Eligibility

ALL full-time UGC-funded undergraduate students are eligible to apply.

SHTM exchange opportunities are offered based on good academic performance, language skills, maturity and the relevancy of the proposed programme to the student's current study.
